Napa County Fair Association

Serving the citizens of Napa County with cultural, social, and economic benefits in times of celebration as well as need, the Napa County Fair Association is a membership organization.

Your involvement and support demonstrates to our community leaders that you believe, as we do, that we are an integral part of the Napa Valley community.

How do we serve our community? Here are a few examples:

  • Civic response. The City of Calistoga Parks & Recreation Services office shares our office space, following the destruction of their own offices due to winter storms a few years back. Napa County Library's Calistoga Branch was temporarily located here while they were under remodel. When their building was damaged in last winter's heavy rainstorms, the Calistoga Food Pantry relocated here. Calistoga Art Center has called the fairgrounds their home since 2011.
  • Valley Fire response. Initially called upon to open as an evacuation center, we transformed overnight into a two week shelter operation, providing somewhere to stay, hot meals, medical and social services, and animal and pet care for over 1,000 evacuees, including receiving and distributing semi-loads worth of donated items to those affected.
  • Tubbs Fire response. Initially opened as an evacuation center, we transitioned into the community's information center when power and cellular services failed. And when it was time to evacuate Calistoga, our staff and volunteers worked alongside first responders, delivering the notification door-to-door.
Our mission is now more important than ever.

With your supporting members, we will continue to work to fulfill our purpose in our community. Through collaborative efforts with our visitor centers, local government agencies, private businesses, school districts, community nonprofits, and emergency services providers, we will continue our work on behalf of all citizens of Napa County to be relevant both now and in the future.

Currently, the Board of Directors is working to develop and produce a master plan of programs in collaboration with many community organizations such as the Calistoga Chamber of Commerce, Calistoga Joint Unified School District, Arts Council Napa Valley, Napa Valley Unified School District, UpValley Family Centers, local nonprofits, and members of our communitywhile transitioning fiscal responsibility and management of the 70-acre facility to the County of Napa and City of Calistoga.

Please consider contributing an additional tax-deductible donation along with your $10 membership so that we can continue to provide the citizens of Napa County with programs and facilities that enhance our community.
