Alexia Viola - Jewelry

Alexia Viola - Jewelry

Alexia Viola Artisan Jewelry began with a strand of tiny, blue sapphires brought back from India. I discovered them during a trip to explore women's stories (including my own as it turned out.) That strand of tiny gemstones, purchased on a whim with no real intention, gave birth to a line of handmade jewelry inspired by what our stories are often inspired by - a sense of place. It didn't end up being about the place I was visiting, as much as it was about the place I'd been calling home for a long time - California. Myriad cultures, personalities and even micro-climates live together in this big, beautiful state, and we all seem to share a lifestyle aesthetic that's effortlessly stylish, fresh and individual, and a little bohemian. Based in Napa Valley, California - Alexia Viola Artisan Jewelry is a line whose designs are meant to embody these special qualities that are true California.
Amy Boulant

Amy Boulant

Copper & Ash is the work of Amy Boulant, a Calistoga artist and California native. Amy's lifelong passion for painting, drawing, and crafting have evolved into a love for Pyrography, a traditional method of "writing with fire" that dates back hundreds of years. Each original design is hand-burned into wood with her keen attention to geometric form and natural symmetry. Combining form and function, Copper & Ash pieces add enchantment to every day, bringing art to the kitchen and table with wooden spoons, spatulas, cutting boards, and serving utensils. Amy has also developed a line of original "Pyro & Paint" pieces for the rest of the home.

Annie Fischer

Annie Fischer

Annie Fischer has been weaving for over 30 years. She has always made clothing but her styles and techniques have evolved over the years. She currently enjoys making tailored coats and using rayon chenille to add a luxurious texture to her garments. For her color inspiration she has to go no further than out the door of her studio in the woods of Oregon.

Donna Higgins

Donna Higgins

Surrounding myself with creative people is important and energizing. Though having a background in general design, the creative spark took hold when I realized I could express myself by designing jewelry. I am very connected to my creations and I wish the same experience for my clients. Natural stones and pearls must be held to be appreciated and to get the full ‘feel’ of any of my pieces, I encourage people to hold them before trying anything on. Is it rough? Is it smooth? Does it resonate with them the same way it resonates with me? I am a native of Calistoga with a degree in Design from UC Davis and am a founding member of the Calistoga Art Center. Donna is also the mother of ENGAGE Artist Emma Higgins.

Martin Ehrensvard

Martin Ehrensvard

I grew up in the suburbs of Stockholm, Sweden and have always enjoyed creative expression. My upbringing was adventurous and full of mischief. I was given freedom for long as what I was doing was part of a creative endeavor. I learned how to orient myself in the world through play. I got in contact with glass through a sculpture class in high school; it was love at first sight. During the past seven years, I have worked together with great masters in more than six countries, and I have therefore learned a wide range of techniques. In my work, I playfully combine these techniques in a way that pushes the limits of the material.
