Celebrate! Napa Valley celebrates community and its success would not be possible without the generous support of time and talents by our volunteers. We appreciate your consideration to become a volunteer and want you to know that we believe in providing a fun and respectful environment for our volunteers. We're looking for volunteers who embody the Napa Valley spirit - those that enjoy people and revel in providing a warm, genuine reception that creates a memorable experience for our guests.

Volunteer Job Descriptions

ENGAGE Preview Party Registration

Those in this position will be the welcoming face to ENGAGE Art Fair Preview Party. Welcome guests to the event and monitor the check-in line so that every ticket is scanned, and every guest is greeted with the proper introduction while being provided all information relevant to their arrival. Wear comfortable shoes. Use of Ipad required. This position alternates between sitting and standing for up to 4 hours.

Bar Service ENGAGE Preview Party

The position is responsible for the sale of alcoholic beverages, ensuring that customers have a positive experience by delivering a high level of customer service. Must be 21 years or older. With a smile, collect monies, check ID, and pour wine, beer, and our signature ARTini cocktail. Wear comfortable shoes. This position requires standing for up to 4 hours.

Service Runner/Busser ENGAGE Preview Party

This position supports the multiple wineries on-hand pouring at the event by keeping them fully stocked with their wine, ice, towels, and stemware. Must be able to move a case of wine and open wine bottles. This position also asks that you continually monitor the event and scooping up those errant napkins and stray stemware. Wear comfortable shoes. This position requires standing and walking for up to 4 hours.

Coat Check Attendant ENGAGE Preview Party

This position provides guests with the ability to check one's coat for safekeeping while they're at the event. Issue corresponding tag receipts to guests upon their arrival, safely guard their possessions, and then produce their coat upon departure. Wear comfortable shoes. This position requires alternating between standing and sitting for up to 3 hours.

Greeter Saturday & Sunday ENGAGE Art Fair

This position welcomes guests to the event with a proper introduction while providing all information relevant to their arrival. All necessary information will be provided to you to properly answer questions and direct guests. Wear comfortable shoes. This position alternates between sitting and standing for up to 4 hours.

Load-in/Load-out

This position is key to providing support towards event production by greeting and helping our ENGAGE Artists unload their props and artwork from vehicles the day before the Preview Party and/or help them load out to their vehicles on the last day of ENGAGE. Must be physically flexible and able to lift and carry valuable items weighing 10-65 pounds.

Parking Attendant ENGAGE Preview Party

This position provides a high level of engagement and customer service directing guests to parking locations. Wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing for outdoor weather. This position requires alternating between standing and sitting for up to 4 hours.

Storytelling Speakeasy Greeter

This position will collect the secret password to this storytelling speakeasy in true speakeasy fashion. You will be the hospitality of this event catering to speakers, bar service, and visitor needs, managing the door and clearing tables. Dress in them with comfortable shoes. This position requires standing and walking for up to 4 hours.

Speakeasy Bartenders

Experienced bartenders desired for a boozy night of throwback cocktails, live music, and storytelling by poets and raconteurs. Beer, wine and select cocktails will be served. Dress in theme, don that hat and show us your best behind the bar. Cash and Cards will be accepted. This shift is 5 hours.

SARAFORNIA Streetcar Decoration

Adorn the SARAFORNIA Streetcar with silk flowers on Saturday, April 6th from 11am-12pm.

Marketing Material Distribution

Help us to spread the word by passing out marketing materials throughout Napa Valley the first couple weeks of March. Mileage will be reimbursed. On Wednesday, April 3 and Saturday, April 6 we will need some banners and balloons delivered to downtown businesses for ENGAGE Downtown.

ENGAGE Downtown Ambassadors

Play ambassador to our quaint town by putting on your walking shoes to hit the streets of downtown Calistoga and meander through the participating businesses of ENGAGE Downtown on Saturday, April 6th from 4-7pm. ENGAGE with visitors to make sure they have a map/brochure and are having a good time. Check in with the businesses to see if they are in need of anything.
